I love coming here for the superb views, excellent food and friendly atmosphere. When it’s chilly, the fires make it especially nice, and there’s a decent car park too. One thing for drinkers to know: they really mean dog friendly. Some people settle on the decking with their dogs and coffee, soaking up the sun for hours, and they WILL NOT BUDGE.

We came back for breakfast the morning after dinner, and it was just as good. We had a vegetarian English Breakfast, a Salmon toasted muffin with scrambled eggs, and a portion of strawberry pancakes that were absolutely delicious. Emily was a lovely, friendly waitress, and Kerri Ann cheerfully welcomed us and found us a nice table overlooking the sea. We didn’t stay at the inn, but visited for dinner and breakfast on separate days. The service was amazing throughout, and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was top tier, with nothing to complain about. Dinner started with Mixed Olives and Crab Cake, followed by the Korean Chicken Burger and the Cornish Cole. For dessert we had Sticky Toffee pudding and Apple Crumble. Mel was polite and friendly, and gave us plenty of recommendations. A special mention to Kristal too, who was on her first shift yesterday. See you again in the summer! With love, Adam and Baovy

We stayed at the Inn on the Shore from 23rd to 27th December '25 over Christmas, and checked out yesterday. The staff, including Ben and his team, Kerry-Ann, Casper, James, Cleo, Shya, Milly and the others whose names I didn’t catch, were all courteous, polite and friendly. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. A lovely hamper was brought to our rooms on Christmas morning. We slept well in a clean, warm room with a sea view. The bed was comfy, the en suite shower was wonderful, and while the decor was a little tired, we were there to sleep. We ate there each day. There was a good menu selection, and every dish was nicely presented and served hot. Compliments to the chef and staff. What a little gem. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

The rooms are nice and warm, with a partial sea view, and there’s plenty of seating indoors and outside where you can enjoy the sea views. The staff were lovely, polite and knew the menus, beers and local area well. It’s right by the beach, with lots of easy parking. Looking forward to coming back in the New Year.

We had friends visiting, so chose this place for Sunday lunch. There was loads of delicious veg, the lunch was fabulous and the service was too. Kerri-Anne looked after us and our visitors so well, thank you! We were very happy with it all. We’ll definitely be back, it’s one of our regular places to eat and one of the best Sunday lunches we’ve had in a long time.
