Westcroft Guesthouse

Sarah made us feel so welcome at Westcroft Guesthouse and even offered to help carry our luggage from the car park. Her suggestions for places to eat and visit were great. The B&B is charming and just yards from the beach. Breakfast was so good that lunch didn’t seem necessary, though we went out for it anyway. There are plenty of dog friendly places to eat nearby, all within an easy walk and serving great quality food. We can’t wait to come back with friends.

We only had a couple of nights at Westcroft Guesthouse and wished we could have stayed longer. It’s in a beautiful spot right by the sea, and Sarah was so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed.

We had the loft room and loved looking out over the sea at Kingsand. There were roof lights and ceiling windows, lovely views, and a starry sky to fall asleep under. The bed was comfy, and the bath was hot. Each room has its own feel, with lots of artefacts and reading material. The interior has real character across three floors, including the loft conversion, and the stairs are a feature, so keep that in mind if stairs or mobility are difficult for you. Breakfast was included, with cooked food as well as a decent selection of cereal, toast and spreads. We really enjoyed our stay, and it added a lot to our road trip holiday. We were there for three days with my partner. There’s no parking on site, but Kingsand Car Park is very close and reasonably priced. Sarah greeted us along with her two lovely Old English Pointer dogs, Vita & Edgar, who got on very well with us and our dogs.

I tried to book this guesthouse, but it seems to have gone out of business. Expedia is still taking non-refundable bookings, so beware. It took us ages to get our money back.
