Avenue Park

We spent a great week in Torquay in August 2023, with nine of us spread across the Avenue Park Villa and Apartment. Both worked well for grandparents, parents and children, and each bedroom had its own ensuite. There was everything we needed, and it felt like home. The location is excellent, around five minutes from the beach and a short walk from the railway station, harbour and seafront. Sandra was welcoming and helpful throughout, and being able to book and speak with her directly was a bonus. Suitable for all ages and highly recommended.

We had a lovely two-week stay in The Apartment in September. It was beautifully furnished, comfortable, very clean and spacious, with everything we could need. There’s a little terrace with a table and chairs, plus free parking on site. The beach is about a 10-minute walk through the Abby, and the Town Centre takes around 20 minutes to reach on foot. There are lots of lovely places to explore around Torquay. Fishcombe Cove and Anstey’s Cove are especially worth a visit.

The owner was lovely and available if we needed anything, while still giving us space. We’d stayed in the larger villa before and liked that just as much. This time the two-bed apartment was spotless, with an open-plan lounge and dining table, two ensuite bathrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen with a washing machine, dishwasher and full-size fridge-freezer. It also had a parking space and furnished outdoor terrace with a barbecue. We enjoyed having Netflix on the TV for late evenings. This is easily the best apartment we’ve stayed in, and we’ll be back.

The owner came to welcome us and was very obliging. Parking on the main road outside was never a problem, and there’s a lovely park opposite. The villa was spacious, clean and comfortable, with everything we could want for a family or group of friends. The bedrooms are large and have ensuite bathrooms, plus there’s a separate bathroom. The lounge is a good size, and the open-plan kitchen has a big dining table. I’d highly recommend it.
