Brooklands Guest House

Karen was managing everything on her own while her housekeeper was away, and she still made us feel so welcome. Our room was spotless, the mattress was excellent, and the bed was really comfortable. Tea, coffee, bottled water, and toiletries were all available, and we couldn’t find fault with anything. Breakfast was amazing, with good quality food. We stayed for a week from 23 July 2022, and on our last evening we had a drink with Karen and the other guests. It was lovely. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended, 10+.

I felt at home as soon as I sat on the bed. The room was nicely decorated and relaxing, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a 10 out of 10, cooked perfectly, with plenty of choice. Karen is so welcoming and down to earth. We had a few great chats and even shared a cup of tea out in the front garden. It’s such a homely place to stay, and I can’t wait to come back and have another tea. Thanks a lot, Karen.

It’s easy to get to the seafront and town centre from here, and Karen was helpful with suggestions about where to go and how to get there. She’s a lovely host and makes sure you have what you need. The rooms are immaculately clean and really well decorated, and breakfast is fantastic. I’d definitely return.

The bed was really comfortable and the room stayed warm enough during our November visit. There was even a spare portable radiator in the cupboard, though we didn’t need it. The room was nicely decorated and had tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, a hairdryer, plus access to an iron and ironing board. The owner was friendly and pleasant. We didn’t pay for breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. The shower was a little temperamental, but otherwise we had a good night’s stay. Thank you.
