Breakfast at Ferndale Lodge was incredible and clearly made with a lot of love. Our host Andrew gave excellent service and hospitality. The house was in good condition, well equipped, and full of lovely details. You can walk down the hill to Torquay centre and harbour in a couple of minutes. We had a really pleasant stay, and I highly recommend this place for a visit to Torquay.

I really enjoyed my week here. The room had everything I could have wanted, including a hairdryer, and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of options. It was quiet at night, and the location made it easy to reach the city centre, supermarkets, the beach, harbour and shops on foot. I'd definitely recommend it.

The harbour and beach are only a few minutes away on foot, and Andrew was around during the day whenever we needed help. Penny was lovely, and my grandson had a great time playing with her dog. He also loved the soft pillows in our clean en-suite room. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot, and breakfast was very good. I'd recommend the full English.

Andrew and Penny made us feel welcome straight away. We were delighted with the room upgrade and really liked our room, including the view, even though we couldn't see the sea. The hotel was lovely, clean and tidy, and there was a nice choice at breakfast.

The rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy, and it's easy to walk into town or down to the harbour. Babbacombe is walkable too, and Andrew suggested a lovely route there. He was a great host and made sure breakfast included soya for me, which I really appreciated. Highly recommend.
