The main downside is parking. It’s on the street, with a few very tight spaces behind the building, so you might need to park farther up the street or on nearby Croft road. We found a space on the road itself without trouble, though, so it wasn’t really an issue for us. For the price, this BnB was fantastic. It’s close to the beach and harbour, and our room was spacious and clean, with a king size bed and a power shower. Breakfast was decent, and Adrian was very accommodating about my wife’s food intolerances. Some bad reviews seem to come from people expecting the Ritz. If you want private parking and perfectly decorated rooms, you’ll need to spend £200 a night.

The bed was the most comfortable one I’ve slept in while away, and breakfast was top notch. It’s made to order, with plenty of choices, including Full English and scrambled eggs with salmon, plus cereals, fresh juice, tea and coffee, and pain au chocolate. It’s a great base in Torquay, within walking distance of the beach and lots of restaurants. Adrian was friendly and knows the area well, so he’s a great person to ask for a starting point. Our room was clean and tidy, with plenty of tea and coffee, and more if we needed it. A lovely little gem on a whole street of B&Bs. Thanks for your hospitality, Adrian.

Adrian was friendly and made us a delicious English breakfast. We had a cosy family room and spent three lovely nights there with the family. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away.

Marie and Adrian are lovely, friendly and welcoming. When we had trouble with Booking.com, they were happy to help over the phone. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out and even have a good sized fridge. Breakfast was yummy and vegetarian. Definitely recommend.

The owner really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We had a spacious, well appointed room, and I could come and go with a key. I also had a parking space for the whole stay. Breakfasts were good, and the guesthouse is lovely and in a superb location. I can’t really fault it.
