I’ve stayed here for work a few times and can’t wait to go back. Joe and steve are lovely hosts who make it feel like staying at a friend’s house, and they’re extremely accommodating. The rooms are clean, well kept and full of thoughtful touches that show how much they care about guests. Each day we had different cakes in our rooms, and when we left for work both times, there was a goody bag with fruit, water and cake. I’d recommend a stay to anyone. Once you’ve been, you’ll definitely come back.

Wow, I booked the guest house the night before our wedding and was blown away by how carefully they looked after us. They were keen to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay. It’s a hidden gem in central Torquay, only two minutes from the train station and not far from either the town or the beach. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the facilities and services were clean, fresh and modern, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. I really can’t recommend these guys enough. If you’re planning a trip to Torquay, this is the place.

A fantastic base for holidays in Torquay, Devon and Cornwall. I stayed three nights and managed to visit lots of different places. The hosts were attentive and welcoming, and made sure I was comfortable throughout.

Joseph and Steve clearly put a lot into making guests feel welcome, so I wanted to write about it. This was one of the most personal, enjoyable B&B stays I've had. The room was comfortable and clean, with soft carpet, a good bed, and plenty of tea, coffee and snacks. Breakfast was lovely too. Already looking forward to coming back.

We had such a good week at Garway Lodge. Steve and joe made us feel very welcome, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was excellent. We’re already hoping to come back next year for another stay and some more of your gorgeous cakes.
