The rooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was fit for a king. Linda and Gary were the best hosts we’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. Their generous, warm personalities really made our trip. We’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it. 🤩

Mark and Sharon were so attentive, and Melba House has an incredible eye for detail. The rooms are superb, with strong showers and really comfortable beds. Breakfast is a treat, especially the eggs. Mark can make them just the way you like. We also appreciated their local tips on where to go, what to see, and what to avoid. Melba House won’t disappoint.

We could leave the car in the off-street parking and walk to the restaurants and beach. Sharon even left a bag of little treats for us at night, then gave us food for the road when we left. The house was clean and in good order, and the bed was very comfortable. Mark and Sharon run a fantastic B&B, with a huge breakfast cooked just right. Torquay itself is a fantastic town. We had a perfect weekend away.

Breakfast was fantastic, and Mark’s poached eggs were the best. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts, Mark and Sharon, who gave us such a warm welcome. The room was clean and tidy, with tea and coffee facilities and fresh milk kept in a fridge each day. It could be refreshed daily if we wanted. We’d definitely stay again and recommend Melba House to anyone visiting the area.

We really didn’t want to leave and will definitely be back! Sharon and Mark were such lovely, welcoming and attentive hosts. The room was superb, with a comfortable bed and a great shower, and breakfast was excellent and filling. They gave us lots of ideas for places to explore. There were thoughtful treats waiting when we arrived, a little gift on the door handle when we got back from a day out, and a bag of treats for the journey home. You’re both wonderful people! 🥰
