The food was disappointing. Our green vegetables were undercooked, and the so called sauteed potatoes were black and tasteless. At breakfast we asked for two poached eggs and bacon, but were told we could only choose two items. I heard new owners were taking over soon, so things may change. The hotel was in a good location, the room spotless, and the staff very nice and friendly. The garden and pools were lovely, and parking was free.

Jenny, Syd and the staff always go the extra mile, and we’ve had another very enjoyable five night stay. The food was excellent, the bar service and restaurant waitresses were good, and the room cleaners did a very good job. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. It’s a friendly hotel with good amenities, including a small gym, indoor and outdoor pools, and nice gardens. There’s plenty of off street parking, and the entertainment has been excellent. Our room was adequate and cleaned every day. Breakfasts were ok, with a reasonable choice, while the evening meals varied in quality. The waitress was very attentive. The pool cost extra to use and didn’t look very clean. WiFi wasn’t always available in some rooms. Entertainment was alright, and not too load. There was no porterage, and no tea or coffee with dinner.

Reece and the bar staff went above and beyond, and we had a great stay. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, providing everything we needed, especially for my sister Maria. I’d definitely stay again and recommend the place. Thanks! Paul, Maria, Diane and Crystal x

The rooms were clean and tidy, the beds really comfortable and the linen good. The dining room is two floors downstairs, which we hadn’t been told, and nobody helped with our luggage from the coach. The staff were very unhelpful overall, and the food was really poor. The hotel is quite a distance from town.
