The Marstan Hotel

We had a wonderful week in a relaxing location, close to the beach and places to eat. The heated swimming pool and hot tub were lovely. Jackie and Nick provided excellent service and were welcoming and friendly, with nothing too much trouble. Sue in the dining area was fantastic too. First class, and we'll be back! Pauline and Drew.

The owners are welcoming, and the rooms have their own character with very comfortable beds. The jacuzzi is a great touch, though the pool isn't very warm. The location is great. It's a 15-20 minute walk downhill into town, under a ten-minute drive, or about £5 for a one-way cab ride. Breakfast has a fantastic range, including fruit salad, cereal, a full English, pancakes and a couple of other options. There's also a bar with a great gin selection. I'd definitely stay again.

The full English was fantastic, and there was a varied breakfast selection too. Our room was spacious, spotless and well equipped, and the bathroom was immaculate. Jackie, Nick and their daughter Pippa made our short break one to remember. The place is beautiful and only about a 10-minute walk from the harbour. My wife and I will be back for another relaxing break in the new year. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

We liked the pool and jacuzzi, especially on a hot day, and the well-stocked bar had Bay cider, which I loved. Breakfast was excellent, with a menu as well as a buffet of fresh fruit, cereals and yogurt. The room was very clean and the bed gave us a great night's sleep. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room, and the town centre was a straightforward 10-minute walk down one road. The family couldn't do enough for their guests. Jackie, Nick and Pippa were great hosts. We enjoyed it so much that we've booked to come back in five weeks and can't wait.
