The Palms Hotel

Lena was very friendly and happy to help with anything. My wife and I spent three enjoyable nights here for her birthday. Sadly, illness meant breakfast couldn't be served, but Lena reimbursed us enough to enjoy breakfasts in town. I stayed here many years ago, and it has kept all its charm. I'd definitely recommend it and hope to return next time we're in the area.

Lena was a wonderful host and did everything she could to make us feel welcome. The hotel was clean and had a home-from-home feel. We stayed in the budget room, which was a great size, and it was cleaned each day with the tea and coffee topped up. Breakfast was fantastic, with a choice of what you wanted, and the veggie sausages were amazing. Can't recommend the place enough. Thank you so much, we'll definitely return.

Lena and her team really made our week away special. She was so kind, even offering to make us dinner after we said we'd struggled to find somewhere to eat the night before. The room was comfortable, spotless and had everything we needed, with lovely views too. The Palms is handy for the harbour, shops, restaurants and pubs, and there's private parking and a very nice breakfast. I'd happily stay here again if we're back in the area. Thanks, Lena!

The character of this family run hotel made our six nights feel especially welcoming, like staying in a home from home. Our room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was a treat every day, with friendly service and a smile. Lena was lovely to chat with and always happy to help. It's only about a five minute walk to the centre. We'll be back soon and will recommend it to friends and family.
