Travelodge Altrincham Central

Staff were friendly and helped me with specific needs. The hotel was good value, clean and hygienic, and smelled nice. The room had a cosy atmosphere at night with its lighting, and the rooms seem to have been upgraded recently. I especially enjoyed the high up views of the Manchester City skyline. The hotel is right in the heart of Altrincham. One small suggestion: the upgraded rooms didn’t seem much different from the standard ones apart from the coffee machine. Well done, team.

The staff were fantastic and really helpful. The car park was full, so they told us where we could park free overnight, and they also stored our luggage while we waited for our flight. We had a fairly spacious room for the money and couldn’t complain about the price. Would definitely stay again.

For what we paid, the rooms were extremely basic. This was our first stay at a Travelodge, and after paying quite a bit more than at a Premier Inn, I expected better, especially since we paid extra for a premium room. The coffee tray was disgusting and had clearly been missed by cleaners. There was thick dust on the bathroom shelves and toilet roll holder, and several carpet stains looked like they’d wash out easily. The shower was disappointing too, with hardly any power and a fixed head, so it made for a pretty basic wash. I wouldn’t expect that from a premium room costing over £120 a night. Check-in was unpleasant as well: two employees looked at each other to decide who had to help me, then acted as if I was an inconvenience. I know it’s a busy town, but other guests came back from nights out shouting along the halls and waking us every few hours. Staff didn’t say anything, which wasn’t fair to the rest of the paying guests. I won’t stay here again.

The family room had everything we needed, and the food and bar were fab. Ryan and the lads at the desk were brilliant and couldn't do enough for us. Great location too. It was our first stay, and we'll be back. Highly recommend 💯
