We've been back lots of times to this friendly, reasonably priced campsite. It feels quiet and remote, even though Holyhead is close by. There are grass pitches and hardstanding, plus a few yurts, and the warm showers and WiFi cover the basics for a low-cost stay on Anglesey. There’s plenty for sea kayakers too, including a paddlers’ bar that opens on seasonal weekends.

It’s an outward-bound centre, so think simple overnight accommodation for backpackers. Rooms are very basic, but clean, and the staff are friendly. It’s especially popular with kayakers and divers, and I’ve never had a bad stay. There’s a bar on site serving breakfast and evening meals, though it doesn’t open every day, so check first. They also have a couple of 7kw EV chargers, but unfortunately they can be very pricey.

My girlfriend and I love this place and come whenever we can afford the fuel from Manchester. There are lots of ways to stay, from camping and bunkhouses to glamping pods, campervan parking and yurts. Booking is simple, and they email you all the information you need. The staff are brilliant and go above and beyond. There are only a few rules, and they make sense, like putting a fire blanket under the firepit, so you can mostly just enjoy your stay your way. The location is perfect, and there’s plenty of wildlife around the site. The new toilet and shower block is a great addition. We also love the on-site restaurant and bar: it’s thoughtfully set up with board games, a pool table, indoor and outdoor seating, and incredible food made by the lovely Penny. I honestly can’t think of anything they could improve. We’ll be back very soon 😁

We based our scout camp here and would happily return for future camps. It’s an easy walk of about 30 minutes from the ferry, and the beach is roughly a ten-minute stroll from the accommodation. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable, and the cooking facilities were excellent. Shops are around a ten-minute drive away. We did water activities with anglesey outdoors and would definitely recommend them. The scouts had a great time, and I felt they were in very safe hands.

We stayed in our caravan, so I can’t speak to the rooms. It’s a lovely place with a relaxed feel and a great location near beaches. There are outdoor activities available, or you can just do your own thing. The on-site pub was quiet and friendly; the bar food looked good, though we didn’t get a chance to try it. We’re planning to come back next year.
