There’s plenty of room here, with a lobby and an open plan living and dining area. The apartment feels fresh and modern, and the two bedrooms are a good size with nice furniture and fittings. It’s dog friendly and at the rear, so we didn’t expect a view. The garden is fine for dogs: it’s fenced, with a patio, a flat patch of artificial grass and a sloping rough grass area reached by steps. My only wish is for softer lighting in the lounge. Right now it just has the same ceiling lights as the kitchen, so an uplighter or table lamp would make it cosier. It’s a great place otherwise, but the steep driveway and several sets of steps make it unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues.

We hated this place and are leaving a day early. It feels like a prison, and I’ve worked in better ones. We weren’t told it faced the rear until the day before arrival. We tried to cancel or upgrade but were refused, and were told it had a garden. There are no views and it feels extremely claustrophobic. The beds were so small that we had to sleep in separate rooms, and the water never gets hot. The area is amazing, but it’s not for kids, and the slope leading out to the main road is very tricky. We’d never stay in this house again.

We’ve kept coming back for two decades, and as an extended family we always seem to enjoy our stays. The apartments in mawgen porth have been updated over the past few years to a good standard. Getting up the steep driveway takes a bit of getting used to if you’re not familiar with it, but it’s worth the effort.

Just right for two of us. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, thanks for having us. We’ll definitely come again.

A great spot, kept very clean and tidy. I’d highly recommend it.
