The Mustard Tree

The coast path is an easy five-minute walk away, Carbis Bay beach is about ten minutes on foot, and St Ives takes around half an hour to reach by walking. There's a bus stop across the road, with a very good local service. I've stayed here several times over the past 15 years, mostly for the location and comfortable accommodation. The place is lovely, well kept and very clean, with everything you need, a comfortable bed and a good electric shower. Breakfast has a good choice, and there's tea and coffee in the room along with a mini fridge. The host is lovely and always happy to help or offer advice.

I found this place at the last minute after a dreadful first night at another hotel. I left that hotel even though I couldn't get a refund for the rest of my booking. Mark, the host, made a great impression. While I checked in, he brought me juice and shared helpful local tips. It's a family-run place, kept clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches and a hearty breakfast. I'll come back and recommend this B&B to friends visiting St Ives.

We had a lovely sea-view room, clean, modern and beautifully kept, and the breakfast was really tasty. Mark offered us drinks when we arrived and was very friendly. The Mustard Tree felt welcoming from the beginning of our stay right through to the end. I'm so impressed and excited about it, and will recommend it to all my friends.

We spent three nights here in September 23 and had a really good stay. Mark and Anna gave us a warm welcome, and the room was spacious, well equipped and spotless. Breakfasts were outstanding, served quickly and hot. Mark talked us through the area, which helped us plan what to do. With the train station close by and frequent buses, we could leave the car behind for days. We're hoping to return in the spring.
