Breakfast was set up for guests to help themselves, with everything available, and we could choose a freshly cooked English breakfast or a masala omelette. We had the omelette both days, definitely worth trying. I'd requested a chilled bottle of fizz in our room for arrival, and it had been arranged with great care. The owner greeted us with a lovely smile, showed us the property and its amenities, then took us to our room. The house and room have so many lovely touches, and everything was impeccably clean, with fresh flowers and a subtle scent throughout. The booking communication was informative and friendly too. A perfect place, highly recommended.

Suruchi treated us like family and took such good care of us. Her hospitality was outstanding, and she helped with every need, including suggestions for places to visit around Keswick and Buttermere. The two birthday celebrations for family members were made really special with unusual cakes, balloon decorations and flower arrangements she made herself. Everything felt original and personal. We also had a great time in the outdoor hot tub. The rooms were beautiful, very clean and up to a high standard, and the guesthouse had excellent facilities. Suruchi makes a wholesome breakfast herself and is a wonderful cook. It was the best part of our day. She's a thorough professional and the best front-of-house host I've met in a long time. Our family had an outstanding stay at this serene, authentic country guesthouse in Troutbec. We plan to return in September and highly recommend Lanehead Farm Country Guest House to family and friends. The service is hard to beat anywhere in the Lake District, and the price is very reasonable. Thank you to Suruchi and her family for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. A happy returning guest. Lane Head is a friendly, well-run B&B with nicely presented rooms and an excellent breakfast. It's well placed for the Northern Lakes and easy to reach from the M6. I'd highly recommend it.

Suruchi and her son were always around and glad to help, and they made us feel at home. She was thoughtful about what we needed, even arranging oat milk at breakfast. The property and our room were spotless and nicely decorated, with flowers dotted around. The garden is lovely, with great views of the fells. Our en-suite room had everything we needed: comfy beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and good Wi-Fi. We also appreciated access to the well-equipped kitchen, which was handy for cooking and keeping food in the fridge. The place welcomes dogs and catered well for vegan and vegetarian guests. It's in a perfect spot for a relaxing stay, and we couldn't have asked for more. Highly recommend!
