St Mawes is a lovely, quaint fishing village with friendly people. The refurbished fisherman’s cottage was clean and tidy, and there was a welcome bottle of Prosecco. I found both the bed and sofa comfortable. I’d recommend staying here.

We liked having parking at Fuchsia Cottage, since St Mawes has very few spaces beyond the chargeable car park. The cottage itself feels like a boutique fisherman's place, with hotel-quality linen and everything we needed for a week. St Mawes was lovely for quiet days, beach walks, seafood and wine. When we wanted more bustle, we took the 20-minute ferry to Falmouth for its shops and places to eat.
Set back within a row of pretty cottages, this place felt private and tucked away. The shops and restaurants at the heart of St Mawes are still only about a minute's walk away. Really beautiful and cozy.
