We had four wonderful nights at Tresanton for our honeymoon. The management surprised us with an upgrade to a suite and a bottle of champagne. The room was mind-blowing, and the food was incredible. Every staff member treated us with such kindness and generosity. I can't fault it.

We celebrated our engagement here and left feeling we'd experienced the best Cornwall, maybe even the UK, has to offer. The restaurant food was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and engaging. They even recovered an empty champagne bottle that had been thrown away, because we wanted to keep it for sentimental reasons. Special thanks to Karen Baxter (GM) for the memories!

We went for our anniversary last weekend, and it was such a treat. Our room was lovely, and the hotel felt warm, calm and relaxing. The old-school service was excellent, with properly trained staff who made us feel nothing was too much trouble. We had breakfast outside each morning, delicious with a wonderful view, and supper in the restaurant was excellent too. The food was delicious and the service superb, worthy of the MICHELIN Key award it holds. The downstairs bar was just right, and the bartender really knew their cocktails, which were as good as any top-notch cocktail bar. Highly recommend. *****

The communication and attitude have been terrible. I sent at least four emails and left messages for the reception staff, but nobody ever got back to me. Given that the place is run by a relative of Alex Polizzi of Rocco Forte, whose huge hotel empire I used to work for, you'd think there would be capable, competent staff. Obviously not. It's so frustrating at an establishment like this!

The setting, service, staff and quality were all superb, with attention to detail throughout. Even the beach bag in the wardrobe with two towels was such a thoughtful touch. The food was plentiful, delicious and well prepared. Staff were helpful and polite, but also fun. Euan and Ruby were particularly great, as was Florien (sorry about the spelling)! We couldn't fault the hotel and can't recommend this home from home highly enough. Thank you very much 🙂
