The Norway Inn

We booked a table on the day for our group of four, with no trouble. The friendly staff served us straight away, and the food was very good. We'd happily come back.

The staff were great with us, and the carvery was packed out. There were good vegetable options and excellent thick slices of meat. My one personal preference would be thicker gravy, so for me that brings it to more like 4.5 stars, but I can't fault anything else. It still gets five from me.

Really good portions, sensible prices and plenty of choice, with great food all round. Megan and Evan were friendly and attentive, which made the visit even nicer. Highly recommended, and we'll certainly come back when we're nearby.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the meat at the carvery was very nice. The vegetables let it down for me. I didn't like the taste or appearance of the red cabbage and stuffing. The carrots were served with parsnips, which seemed strange, and the pale parsnips looked more like potatoes than roasted veg. Peas came with the green beans, though I think they'd have been better with the carrots. I didn't try the Yorkshire pudding or roast potatoes, but the potatoes didn't look very crispy.
