Zucchini Hotel

The gluten-free choices were very good, though they didn't have any pizza bases available. The food was excellent, and we had a good chat with our waiter Zeek, who couldn't have done more for us. We'd booked because of the advertised GF options. It was quiet when we arrived, which can make you wonder about the quality, but we needn't have worried. We'll go again when we're back in the area.

We didn't stay at the hotel, just went to the restaurant, and the food was fantastic, reasonably priced and served in a great atmosphere. My wife and I love Italian cuisine, and this hidden gem in Truro didn't disappoint. The service was great: they checked our food was okay without hovering, and were always there if we needed anything. The comments about a smell are about the exposed beams. I grew up with that smell, so it didn't bother me, my wife or our two kids. Thank you.

Everything was made fresh, and nothing was too much trouble. We had the most amazing, tasty meal here last night, with great service too.

Our meal at zucchini was a mixed experience. Some dishes were tasty and beautifully presented, and the kitchen clearly has potential. Other parts of the meal didn't reach the same standard, and the portions felt small for the price. We were both unwell later that evening, which made the experience worse. We hope it was a one-off. With more consistent food quality and some work on the building, this restaurant could be a lovely place to dine.
