The inn is looked after by a really friendly team, and the Sunday dinner was top class. There was a great choice of beer too. I was driving, so I had the proper job zero, but next time I’ll get a taxi from Bath and have some Butcombe with my meal. I didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t comment on the rooms.

We had a great stay. The staff were welcoming and provided outstanding service throughout, and the food was tasty, beautifully presented, and served at just the right pace. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The pub and restaurant also felt warm and homely. There was building work behind the pub, but it didn’t affect us at all. You can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into making the King William such a welcoming place. We’ll definitely come back, and I’d highly recommend it. Thank you!

The place was absolutely immaculate, and the staff were lovely. We had an outstanding lunch: the steak was amazing, and the salmon with hollandaise was incredible. The ham, egg and chips was a small portion, though it looked big. Dessert was great too. We didn’t want the meal to end, and we’ll be back. xx

The service was excellent, and the ambience was good. I had the Beef Bourguignon followed by Apple Crumble and custard, and both were among the best I’ve ever had. It’s a shame we live so far away, or we’d visit regularly.

We stayed for two nights while attending a wedding at Priston Mill, which was only a ten-minute taxi ride away. The staff were all lovely, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was amazing. We had dinner there one evening and breakfast the next morning. My only small complaint is the pillows: they’re very flat, so I didn’t sleep well and woke with a sore neck. Otherwise, it would’ve been five stars. I’d still stay here again.
