The restaurant was really good, and our waiter Ricki was amazing. The hotel is across the road from Loch Broom, with a terrace and a view of the Loch from our room. The room had plenty of space, and the bed was very comfortable. It’s about a quarter-mile walk along the waterfront to the shops, with the ferry terminal central to them. Definitely a great stay.

The hotel is a little dated in places, but not in the rooms or restaurant where it mattered. For us, the staff, rooms, views, location, and food were all 10/10. What a lovely hotel. Would highly recommend!

The staff were very helpful, and breakfast was included with a good selection of hot and cold options. Our room was clean and very comfortable, with a great shower. Thanks, I’d highly recommend it to other travellers.

Our room, number 4, was good, though it could use some repairs and decorating. Those were minor issues. The stay could have earned five stars, but breakfast really let it down. The poached egg with haddock was fine, but the fish was dry, perhaps cooked earlier and left under a heat lamp. I ordered “pancakes” with bacon and maple syrup, and they were disgusting. When I asked a wait staff member to check, they confirmed my suspicion that the pancakes came premade from a packet rather than being made from batter. The bacon was okay but nothing special, and the “maple” syrup seemed to be some kind of artificial runny gunk. Better breakfast options and quality would make a huge difference. I would have raised this at checkout, but the desk was unmanned. That felt like another sign of the lack of care and attention that could be improved.

There are lots of parking spaces, with overflow parking behind the hotel. Our room was at the front and had a stunning harbour view. The staff were excellent, though the meals were pricey.
