After hiking the fells, we stopped in and had a couple of pints in the peaceful beer garden beside the river. It was absolutely stunning, and I had the place to myself. The owner seemed friendly. They offer shepherd's huts and rooms, and there were plenty of snacks and drinks available. Lots of outdoor seating too, including covered seats. Brilliant find, highly recommended. I'll definitely visit again.

The self-service bar was so comfortable, and everything felt authentic and genuinely good quality. The rooms were immaculately clean too. This is my absolute favourite place. Thank you so much, Andrea, we really felt spoilt!

A great place to stay for the coast to coast walk. Friendly staff, and our room was clean and comfortable, with a view over the water.

I stopped at the bar for lunch while cycling through. Just had a tuna mayo jacket potato and tea, a lovely lunch and exactly what I needed. It's brilliant for cyclists: you can sit outside right beside your bike and shelter under an awning if it rains.

A guest house with lovely character, a cosy bar, a welcoming host, and a lovely room and breakfast.
