I emailed after leaving behind some essential medicine, but never got a reply.

The garden was a hit with our two dogs, who had room to run around, and the cottage had lovely views and was well equipped. It's a great base for exploring the Southern Lakes. We did have trouble spotting the lane when we arrived, though that may have been because I hadn't read the directions carefully enough.

This was our second stay, and we may well come back in another year or two. The cottage is in a stunning spot and very well equipped, though a few board games would have helped when a storm knocked out the TV. After four years, things were much the same: the sofas are still uncomfortable, and there were no welcome chocolates or wine this time.
