The grounds beneath the monument were wonderful, and the room was really lovely and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and took our bags at 10am on check-in day. Breakfast was lovely, too. We’re sorry we didn’t stay longer and will come back.

A delightful Victorian property with beautiful decor, and the large bathtub was a treat. The host was lovely and friendly. I booked this as a reward for finishing the reverse Cumbria Way, and highly recommend it.

Breakfast had plenty of choice and was delicious, and our room had a comfy bed, jacuzzi bath and good shower. The driveway from the road is very narrow, though parking is free. It’s about a 10-minute walk to Ulverston town centre, with easy access up to Hoad Hill. We spent two nights at this fabulous guesthouse in July for my birthday. It was our first trip to the Lakes, and we found the location quiet and the owner friendly. We’d stay again. Thank you!

The owners and staff were great, and breakfast was superb. We had a lovely house with great views. The driveway and gates are very narrow, especially for a seven-seater. Our room was great and quirky, but very low because it was in the loft. The whirlpool bath was a nice feature. Recommended.
