We’ve been coming to the Greyhound pub for about 15 years and used to really love it. It’s still a lovely pub, but this visit was very disappointing because the food quality was nowhere near what it used to be. Please try to get back to the old standard, it’s such a great pub.

We were stranded by the weather and booked a B&B here. After a really stressful time on the roads, the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The room was lovely, clean, and warm, just what we needed, and had a smart TV, fresh towels, and sanitary products. The downstairs bar was very nice too, and the open fire was perfect. Breakfast the next morning was also 10/10. We can’t thank the greyhound inn enough for fitting us in, and would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We came across this pub unexpectedly and loved the Sunday carvery in such a lovely setting. The staff were very good, and bringing our two dogs along was no problem.

We left without eating. When we asked about food, we were told it wouldn’t be served until 5, and someone where we were staying had said orders stopped at 7. The food might be nice, but we didn’t get to find out and went elsewhere. The pub says dogs are allowed, yet with nobody else inside we were told our dog could only stay in a particular corner. It made us feel like outcasts.
