We stayed for a week in the Emma Suite and had a lovely time. It’s a unique property, with modern amenities alongside old-world charm. The high-ceilinged lobby, painted mural and sweeping staircase are lovely. There’s a plentiful choice of games, from pool and frisbee to mini golf, lawn games and a big board-game collection with modern classics like Ticket to Ride and Carcassonne. There’s loads of space inside and out, but town is still a short walk away, and M&A and Aldi are even closer. It really has the best of both worlds. We’d be privileged to stay again!

We stayed in one of the apartments and found it modern, spacious and comfortable, with a great location for town. There were some lovely arrival touches, too: a good selection of luxury tea, coffee and hot chocolate, plus still and sparkling bottled water.

This was our fourth stay in Kennedy House, and we keep coming back because it’s so good. Stone Cross Mansion has been immaculately restored, and it shows. The grounds are lovely for a walk, miniature golf, bowls or taking the dog out. Staff are great and the apartments are lovely and luxurious. Ulverston is nearby, and M&S and Aldi are just across from the bottom of the drive.

We had a great stay in the Florence suite, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and a very modern kitchen with all the appliances. The building has an elevator, though descending the hall stairs still makes you feel like a queen. There’s a big parking area, an Aldi and M&S across the street by the entrance, and a gate by the playground that leads to the town centre in just a few minutes. What an amazing place. The building brings together ancient history and modern luxury, and it really has it all.

We stayed in the William suite and loved it. The upstairs terrace was a real highlight, and the apartment had everything we needed, with beautiful furnishings throughout. Stone Cross Mansion itself is spotless and gorgeous. My husband and I had such a special stay, and we’ll be back.
