Glamping on the Hill

We’re already trying to line up another visit with friends. Peta was so welcoming, and dinner at their pub on Saturday was a lovely extra. We stayed in the Daisy yurt at the top of the hill, which felt cosy with the fairy lights, lanterns and wood burner. There were plenty of logs for it, too. Thanks for a great stay!

The beds and shower were both first class, which makes all the difference for me. We stayed one night with our two children, aged 10 and 8, and my wife. Though it’s only 45 minutes from where we live, it felt like we were miles away. The setup and location made a great first impression, and we all slept really well with farm animals in the nearby field making background noise. There’s a lovely old English pub just down the path, well stocked and with really welcoming staff. If you fancy something different, check it out. We’ll definitely be back. Staff were helpful, and we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. It’s also a handy spot for exploring Longleat and Cheddar Gorge.

The owners were really friendly and did all they could to make sure we had a good stay. Our shepherd's hut was very comfortable, with lots of thoughtful little extras. We had a brilliant weekend. The one thing I missed was lighting the stove, but it was too warm for that. We'd happily come back, and might try a yurt next time.
