Zero. I brought my wife because she’s just started playing, and we thought the course would be quiet. With the weather so wet, I asked the woman in the office if it was open and playable. She said it was fine, just a bit “soft.” My course was “soft” this weekend too, and that’s what I expected. This one was waterlogged. Water came over our shoes with every step, the ball plugged on every shot, and the greens were soaked. After two holes, we decided it was completely unplayable and went back to explain we couldn’t continue. She replied, “I told it was soft,” and said they don’t give refunds. This isn’t a golf course, it’s a muddy field with mossy patches passing for greens. If you’re a serious golfer, this place isn’t for you.

A nice, quiet place that suits novice and young golfers. There’s a decent mix of long and short holes. Eighteen holes can feel a bit expensive, though you can pay for just nine. The cash-only setup is a bit of a challenge.

For £15.50, this is atrocious and not worth the money. The tee boxes have no grass and are rock hard, the bunkers are hard as rock, and the greens are in very poor condition, with big divots in some of them. The bins hadn’t been emptied either.

The tee times are so tightly stacked that a full round can take over 5 hours. They charge £23 for 18 holes, more than many proper courses, but these were the worst holes I’ve ever seen. Some bunkers are like concrete. There are genuine divots on one green, and you need a mallet to get a tee into the hard tee boxes. You end up teeing off from the fairway just to find a patch of grass. Potentially the worst course in West Yorkshire.

A friendly, welcoming little course. There aren’t any bar facilities, though beers in tins are available on the patio after a round. They don’t take card payments, which kept my score down.
