The location was handy, with shops, restaurants, and major attractions only a short walk away, while the hotel itself stayed quiet enough for a good night's sleep. Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh fruit, pastries, and local dishes to choose from. We spent two nights there in October 2025, and the room was spotless and modern, with a lovely view and a very comfortable bed. Housekeeping kept it immaculate. The staff welcomed us warmly and check-in was easy. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return.

I needed somewhere to stay after my boiler broke, just so I could get a hot shower. It was good value, and the owner was friendly. I don't eat breakfast, but the cooked breakfasts looked really good. The room had a hairdryer, safe, tea, coffee, and biscuits, and it was clean and quiet. I'd recommend it.

Stan was a top host. He got up early to make breakfast and even offered to drive us to a local Italian place for dinner. He made us feel welcome from the start. The place is well located for beginning or finishing Hadrians Wall, with bus and metro access nearby and parking on site. Couldn't have asked for more.

There were quite a few guests while we were there, and the host still made time to chat with them. He was kind and engaging, and nothing seemed like too much trouble.

We had a really big bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The setting was quiet, and there was free parking. Stan, the owner, was very friendly, as was his hound. It's also handy for Newcastle and Tynemouth. We'll definitely be back.
