Premier Inn Milton Keynes Central Theatre District

The hotel is fairly decent otherwise, and there are some good bus links right nearby. But the room itself was disappointing. The shower pressure was very weak even though I was only on the second floor, and the temperature kept swinging from slowly cooling to boiling hot, whatever position the control was in. There was also a damp smell because the window couldn’t be opened and there wasn’t enough airflow. Cooking smells would linger too. The whole window was covered in condensation at one point, and the black mould made it clear this had been going on for a while. I reported it to reception.

Breakfast was amazing, and the staff were really good, especially Kwabena, who checked us in and talked us through the car park. We arrived early to make sure we could get a parking space, but parking itself was no problem. Our top floor Premier Plus room was comfortable and completely quiet. The location was superb for getting to the shopping centre. A very good stay.

All the staff were friendly and the service was great. One woman in particular made our stay: we arrived early on the 21st, and she got us checked in ahead of time without charging the £15 fee because it was Christmas. I can’t remember her name, but it was such a kind gesture and we really appreciated it. We’ll be back.

You’re right on top of the city centre, with lots of places to go nearby. We had a brilliant stay. William welcomed us warmly and got us checked in quickly. He kept it funny and helped us feel at ease, which meant a lot since we were nervous about our first hotel stay. The eggs, sausages, bacon and mushrooms were cooked beautifully, and our server was a very friendly young woman. Five stars from us, and we’re looking forward to planning another visit.
