Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of hot and cold choices, and it was cooked to the schedule we’d arranged. The staff were welcoming, and there’s a decent amount of parking on site. Alfred's Lodge was a great base for visiting friends nearby, with clean, well-kept rooms and a building that’s nicely presented.

We had a tasty vegetarian breakfast, and our hostess was really thoughtful, bringing out almond milk and letting us sample some new vegan foods. The building itself is lovely too. We stayed for two nights, though the mattresses felt a little too soft for us.

This worked really well as a B&B while I was working in the area. The rooms are sensibly laid out and modern, breakfast was just right, and the staff were friendly.
