I’d never stayed at a Premier Inn before. I’ve only been here two days, and today has been the worst, after an absolute nightmare at home. In Hertford, the mains water pipe supplying our block of around 60 flats burst on Saturday 23rd May, leaving us without water. Then the electrics failed too, so we had to move into hotels. We’re hoping to get home by 5th June. Today I spoke to Hanna at reception. I felt like I was bothering her with questions all day, but she was always kind, patient and helpful, and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. She was an absolute angel. I told her I wanted to write a review because she deserved recognition, though I think I embarrassed her a bit! Whoever’s in charge at Premier Inn should thank her. Every Premier Inn needs more Hannas. Hanna, this is for you, thank you again. X

Really handy location, about a 10-minute walk over the bridge to the pubs and town, and overnight guests get free parking. The working lifts were a big bonus too. Huge thanks to Helin & Claire (31/01/2026), who sorted out my room issue straight away, with kindness and professionalism.

The surroundings were quiet, and the staff were very helpful. It was convenient having the spacious 'beefeater' restaurant connected to the hotel. I had the fish and chips and really enjoyed it. The River Lea is only a short walk away, and the hotel supports Great Ormond Street hospital charity for children. I bought a bear to support them.

A huge thank you to Helin, who went above and beyond and made my stay great. She was so friendly and helpful, and made me feel right at home. Her smile and positive attitude were infectious. I left feeling uplifted. If you’re looking for a warm welcome at this hotel, ask for Helin. Five-star service all the way!

Brilliant location, and the staff were excellent. Our Premier PLUS room was good, though it had a few marks from wear and tear, so I’d give it 4 stars. The family-friendly restaurant next door was brilliant too.
