The Byre at Warkworth

Chris and Elizabeth were so hospitable and kind. They even found room for us to charge our electric car. The cottage is small but very well equipped, dog friendly and in a great location, close to the beach, town and other coastal points of interest. The fenced patio gives you privacy and works well for dogs or kids. We've stayed at quite a few places around here, and this is our favourite now.

Our plans changed, so we booked with Chris & Elizabeth just two days ahead. They kindly fitted us in, and we really appreciated the welcome pack. It's lovely accommodation, well placed for walks into the village and for getting to Amble and Alnmouth. Thanks for having us at such short notice.

A beautiful, cosy place with everything you need, and it was kept in lovely condition. The owners live on site and were friendly and helpful while still giving us space. Nothing was too much trouble. We were three in the family, though two couples would be just as comfortable. You can walk to Warkworth and the local pubs, and Amble and Alnmouth are a 10 minute drive. If you like seafood, we'd heartily recommend Jasper's in Amble. Two fishermen sitting beside us rated the bouillabaisse as highly as anything they'd had in France! We had a fantastic stay.

We spent a glorious week at The Byre at Warkworth, with great weather and good places to eat in the village. There are walks from the cottage, about 10 minutes away, leading to a beautiful beach. Elizabeth and Chris are lovely, and the cottage has everything you need. One word, perfection. Highly recommend.
