Holiday Inn Warrington

We were quite pleased with our stay while travelling from Scotland to London. The outside looks a little dated, but inside felt fresh, and our room was spacious, clean and very tidy. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the menu. Staff from reception to the restaurant were friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Breakfast had a great choice, and the food was piping hot. Tea or coffee was brought over almost as soon as you sat down, with other drinks available if you don’t have either. The tables were really clean, with no marks or sticky bits left from cleaning. Someone is clearly working hard to keep the place tidy. I’ve stayed at a few Holiday Inns for work and knew this one from way back. Some acquaintances had said bad things about the Warrington one, but they must have stayed at a different Holiday Inn. Reception looked clean and professional, and check-in was quick. My room was spacious, spotless and at just the right temperature. It was a pleasure not to be disappointed. I had a nice evening meal in the restaurant, with good service even though the hotel was very busy that night. The staff worked hard and were chatty and informative, with smiling faces first thing in the morning. Top marks for everyone. I’ll stay here again next time I’m down, and Holiday Inn should repeat this winning Warrington formula at a few of its other hotels.

There were thoughtful extras for kids, including colouring and books. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room had what we needed for an overnight or weekend stay. Everywhere was clean and neat. Breakfast had a good selection, and we enjoyed our evening meal here too. Would recommend x

The hotel is modern, clean and in a good location, with friendly, attentive staff and good food. Service was good, though we got the sense they might be short staffed. It didn’t affect us too much. The bar and restaurant felt a bit flat, and I really don’t like having to use an app to order food and drinks. It’s a poor stand-in for someone working at the bar. Some background music or the TV being on would help lift the atmosphere. Even so, I’d still recommend the hotel.
