Colin, the night porter and manager, was pleasant when we arrived and even found me a biscuit with my tea. The hotel is what you expect from Premier Inn, with pretty standard rooms. We were there for the neighbourhood weekender, and it’s a bit far out, but that’s the trade-off. Breakfast was decent, with a good choice, and the area was kept tidy. It’s no longer the old buffet setup: you can order what you want, supposedly without limit, though I wasn’t sure if we could order more and nobody asked if we wanted any. Kids under 16 eat free. The Toby carvery next door also does breakfast and has a bar, which the hotel doesn’t.

The breakfast was really tasty, and a shout-out to chef Joe for the amazing mushrooms. We had a lovely New Year stay: it was quiet, clean and modern, with great facilities. Staff were always friendly and helpful. We’ll be back soon.

Kerry and Zach went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. When I mentioned I’d be checking out very early, they arranged a small breakfast bag and switched on the coffee machine so I could take a coffee with me. That was a lovely gesture. The room was very clean and well maintained, and the location is convenient for visiting Warrington. Thank you both for the excellent service.

Freshly cooked to order, so the breakfast hasn’t been sitting under hot lamps getting hard. It’s the best Premier Inn breakfast you’ll find, with a great team and a nice atmosphere. And only £10.99. What’s not to like?

The sofa bed made it awkward to use the desk. I practically had to climb into the chair. But I slept really well on holiday: the mattress and pillow were extremely comfortable, which helped with my spinal condition, and there wasn’t much noise from the corridor. Breakfast was as good as I usually expect at Premier Inn, and the gentleman serving was friendly and attentive.
