The School House

I was up this way for work and was so glad they booked me into the school house. Gary gave me a warm welcome and a tour, showing me around and pointing out places I might need to know. The room was cosy and had everything I needed, with a comfy bed and a great bathroom. The shower was brilliant. And wow, breakfast was awesome. I’ll ask to stay here next time I’m in the area.

This is one of the best b&b's I’ve stayed in. The owners, Garry & Helen, were friendly and helpful, and the building is lovely inside and out. My room was cosy and spotless. There was a great selection at breakfast, and it was excellent. We were there for a local music festival in August and are going back next year. We’ve already booked our room at this lovely place. I’d highly recommend this b&b to anyone considering it.

Our usual holiday inn was full, so my two pals, my young son and I booked here after finding it by chance. We’ve already reserved for our next trip. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, and the full English was to die for. Endless filtered coffee, too. Above all, we felt so welcome. Helen and I sorted things out quickly and easily, and when I said traffic would make us late, she just told us to travel safely. I’ve worked in the public sector for 35 years, and it’s refreshing to find this level of service and such a gem of a guest house. Can’t wait for Garry’s breakfast again in November. Thank you both. The location worked really well, and the room was comfortable. The hosts were lovely too. Just remember to bring shampoo and shower gel, as neither was provided. I’d happily stay here again when I’m in the area.
