The owners had thought of lots of helpful things, including local walking maps, toiletries and hot chocolate. We loved our weekend at Anchors Cottage. It feels tucked away while being right near everything, and the space is used really well. The little upstairs bedrooms are especially cute for kids, with a lovely seaside feel. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to book again. Thank you!

We loved our holiday at beautiful Anchor Cottage and will be back soon. It's private and sheltered, but right in the heart of Whitby and close to the beach. We could nip back for lunch or take a break between outings, while still being near everything.

This former sail maker's home and workshop has loads of character. It's set back from a side street, so it's very peaceful, yet only about a five minute walk into the town centre. If you manage to park at Silver Street car park, it's just a minute on foot from the property, and costs £9 for 24 hours.

We've had another wonderful stay at Anchor cottage. The Crows Nest bedroom is ideal for children, and the location makes it easy to explore Whitby. Five stars.
