Central Whitby Seaglass studio

For the price, this was disappointing. The apartment was very dirty and damp, with mould on the walls, dust and insects everywhere. There was no ventilation, so it felt humid, and even basic things like loo roll were missing. It was a noisy basement with no soundproofing, no parking, and a dirty outdoor yard covered in algae. The aerial was broken, so there was no live TV. I was also concerned about fire safety: there were no fire-resistant doors, the front door lock had no thumbturn, the fire extinguisher wasn’t suitable for indoor use, and there were no torches or emergency lights. There were bars on the windows and no risk assessment on display. It didn’t seem compliant with the fire safety order for holiday lets.
