We've just had three nights at First Port Of Call, our second visit to this cosy little apartment. It was spotless, warm and decorated for Christmas, and the peaceful location is about ten minutes from Whitby centre. Once you've parked, getting around is easy. The train and bus stations are a 10-15 minute walk away, with the X4 bus going to Sandsend, Runswick Bay and further on to Saltburn By The Sea. By train, you can reach Grosmont, Goathland and Pickering. Whitby has lots of places to eat and some great independent shops. We'd definitely recommend staying here.

The kitchen was well equipped and the place had everything we needed. It was very clean and cosy, with Christmas decorations up, especially lovely while it snowed. The heating kept us nice and warm. The owners even messaged to offer us an extra night in case the snow made it hard to get home. Thanks, we'll be back.

It's a cosy, homely apartment with everything you need, and the location makes it easy to reach local amenities while still enjoying a quiet break. This was our second visit to The First Port of Call, and we love staying here. Thanks for having us, we'll be back again.

Everything felt fresh and looked well cared for. I was really impressed by how spotless the room was, and had a very comfortable, pleasant stay at First port of call in Whitby.

We met the housekeeper when we arrived, a lovely woman who clearly does a great job keeping the appartment clean. It's a comfortable, lovely place, very much like home, and close to all the amenities. Parking is free with a scratchcard from the owner. We stayed for two nights and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting whitby.
