It was a lovely, quiet stay, with peaceful surroundings, wonderful views and pleasant staff. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced. The facilities worked well, though some felt a bit dated. The narrow country lane on the drive down felt a little dangerous, and in the warm weather we really needed some decking or outdoor seating by our van, which it didn’t have.

The grounds were well looked after, and the toilets were immaculate. Some of the older areas are a little worn, though. The views are incredible, and the location is stunning. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food was good value for the price. My only small complaint is the cider selection. In the heart of Somerset, I’d expect Thatchers, which is far better than Inchs Cider. The other choice was Magners, which feels like a throwback to the 90s. That won’t stop us coming back when the weather’s right.

It’s very quiet, with no light pollution, and the sunsets and views are stunning. Dogs are welcome, and the staff were lovely. There’s no direct beach access, though. The facilities’ opening hours weren’t great, and the food could be better. Our mobile home had no outdoor furniture, so bring your own, along with towels and a tea towel.

We had a lovely family weekend away with our dog, and the sea view from the caravan was great. It looked a little tired, but was clean and tidy. The site is family friendly, though the atmosphere suits a quiet holiday. Staff were very helpful and friendly, and there’s a fenced area where dogs can be off lead. The clubhouse is large and has a restaurant, an arcade, and a separate snooker room with a piano and a small selection of books for sale. The on-site shop only stocks essentials, though there’s a Co-op about four miles away. Evening entertainment at the club was the one downside. It was a perfect getaway for us, but families with young children looking for lots of activities, or people wanting plenty of shows and evening entertainment, may not find it suitable.

There’s plenty to do with the dogs and lots of local walks. The pool and clubhouse on site are lovely, and the place sits right on the edge of Quantock Hills.
