The Parson Woodforde

We had a really fun evening as a group of 10, then slept comfortably overnight. Breakfast the next morning was freshly cooked, delicious, and just what we needed. The food, beer, wine, and rooms were all excellent and felt carefully looked after. The staff were the standout, working hard to keep everything welcoming and relaxed and the service brilliant throughout. This was our second visit to The Parsons this year, and it was fantastic again. If you need somewhere to stay near Norwich, I’d choose this over a city hotel. Highly recommended.

The roast dinner is the best I’ve had in Norfolk, and the desserts are delicious too, though we don’t often have room for one. Prices are reasonable for the quality, and they also serve Hawkstone. I haven’t stayed at the hotel, but I’ve eaten here several times. We’ve always booked, yet there have still been some tables free. It’s not right among the coastal tourist traps, either.

We needed somewhere to stay overnight after seeing the show at Thursford, since the journey home was too far. This place was a real gem. The staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. Our room was clean and well equipped, and the meals were excellent too. Great choice of beer as well. Well done to the chef.

The two women running things were friendly and efficient, and the young man at breakfast was great at his job. His breakfast sandwich was just what I needed to get the day going. We’d booked at the last minute, and the drive on a cold, rainy weeknight was manageable despite the poorly lit country roads. We had dinner and breakfast there, but the room wasn’t the best.
