The owners were great, and the room was spotless with a comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing. They changed the towels and bath mats daily if you wanted, and kept the bathroom tidy and stocked. It's a one-minute walk to the sea front and less than five minutes to the pier, so the location is great. The only downside is that if you smoke and it's raining, there’s no shelter. All the rooms are smoke free, of course, but it’s no big deal.

The breakfast was hot, filling and cooked beautifully, and our room had plenty of space with a spotless bathroom. We had a lovely weekend at Sarnia, with really friendly service. We'd happily stay again.

It's a short walk to Madeira Cove and close to Knightstone Island, while the town centre is about ten minutes away on foot. Parking on the side street can be tricky, though there's free parking outside the Savoy. This is my favourite guest house in town: the hosts are pleasant, the breakfasts are generous, and everything is clean. I also like that they now have a no kids policy. Recommended.

There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, and it was nice. Our room was clean too, and the host made us feel very welcome and shared useful information. We had a lovely stay and would come back. Thank you.

The place was modern, clean and really well organised, and the food was excellent. The hosts were lovely and happy to help with anything. Their local knowledge was great too. It was an easy walk to the town centre, restaurants and bars, or the pier.
