The York Hotel

We dropped in hoping to have lunch and drinks, and Michelle quickly seated us by the window as I’d asked. The meals were fresh and delicious, and the service was fast. We couldn’t resist and started eating before taking pictures, so they’re half gone! Thanks a lot, we’ll definitely be back soon.

The breakfasts were so filling and tasty that I didn’t need to eat again for the rest of the day. Steak night is worth a mention too, the rump steaks were cooked perfectly. The staff were constantly ready to help with whatever we needed, and the location was lovely, close to everything. We’ll book for next year and bring the grandchildren, who’ll love the attention and attractions. My one little complaint is that we couldn’t find the owner when we left to thank him and the staff for a wonderful, delightful, fantastic stay. See you next year.

The beach and town are both very close, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We had a comfortable room and great meals. Excellent stay, I’d happily recommend it and visit again.

The room was small but okay, and breakfast was fine. The food otherwise was basic and not warm. Compared with the Sandringham next door, this was a lot better, but the bathroom needs a proper clean and the shower needs fixing. There was mould in the grout, plus stains on the walls and carpets.
