The flatlet, as the owner calls it, gave me welcome shelter for seven nights and had a splendid location and a well-equipped kitchen. My fellow Welsh lodgers managed to turn off the hot tap in the cramped bathroom, which wouldn't shut off; I washed at the kitchen sink because the shower didn't work. The aged TV remote seemed to need new batteries, and the bed wasn't very comfortable. The WiFi password wasn't in the room, but on an A4 sheet on the landing, and I spent 20 minutes searching my flatlet for it. The owner never contacted me during my stay, even though I texted her.

We stayed here twice, first in a one-bed apartment and then in a studio room, and both were furnished to a good standard. They had modern furniture, a large TV, a fully equipped kitchen area with a cooker, microwave and fridge, and lovely bedding and towels. Cleaning standards were high on both visits. There's a well-kept garden at the back for everyone to use, a real sun trap. The location is great, around a 15-minute walk to Weston front, or 10 if you walk fast. The Bear is just around the corner for a quiet pint, along with Tesco, Co-op and a combined Chinese takeaway and chip shop. Good value, lovely place, and we're going back in the summer holidays.

Flat 5 was a tidy, nicely sized place with basic amenities. There was no WiFi, which suited us since we were always out. Parking near the front was a struggle, but the price was right and we'd definitely book again.
