We'd happily come back in a heartbeat. This was our second visit, and we had the best room, with a lovely sea view. The staff were lovely, and we'd also eaten there with local friends on this trip, which was good. Breakfast was supposed to be continental only because it was a difficult time of year for staffing. Then the shower developed a warped sense of humour. The staff were so kind about it and found me some tools, and I managed to fix it and get full monti breakfasts. We're best of buddies now. They also have a separate area for something big like a birthday bash, which seems to work well. Some parts could use a bit of TLC when they can afford it. I doubt Rachel from accounts has been very helpful! Kind regards to all. Enjoy.

The eggs benedict and avocado & eggs on toast were both spot on, with perfectly poached eggs, lovely presentation and top quality produce. The prices were surprisingly low for such good food. Service at South Sands Hotel was friendly and attentive the whole time, and we felt really welcome. We'll definitely be back.

The bar staff were lovely when I arrived for the party, and gave me a nice drink. I asked for a whiskey recommendation and got a very good one. The party itself was disappointing. The band was half an hour late, the food was lukewarm and very sparse, especially for a Christmas party, and there was no gluten-free choice apart from Christmas pudding, which I find many people don't like. There was a tiny bar with only two staff serving more than 100 people, so the queues got massive. I left early. Also, the parking area wasn't lit and I managed to prang my car.

We came from Oxford to visit relatives and had Sunday lunch here. There was lots to choose from at good prices, and we had an amazing meal. The service was attentive and efficient. We'll definitely come back.

Food service ended at 8.30. After a long day at work, that left us with two bags of crisps for dinner, since there wasn't anywhere else to eat nearby.
