The York

The photos are only half the meal, sorry, we couldn’t resist. We dropped in on the off chance of getting lunch and drinks, and Michelle quickly found us a window seat as I’d asked. The food was fresh, delicious and fabulous, and service was fast. Couldn’t ask for more. Thanks a lot, we’ll definitely be back soon.

Breakfast was so tasty and filling that I didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. The rump steaks on steak night were cooked just right, too. The hotel is in a lovely spot, close to everything you need, and the staff were eager to help with whatever came up. We had a wonderful, delightful, fantastic stay. My one small complaint is that we couldn’t find the owner when we left to thank him and his staff. We’ll book again for next year, and bring the grandchildren next time. They’ll love the attention and attractions.

The beach and town are both very close. We had a comfortable room, the meals were great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent stay. I’d happily visit again and would definitely recommend it.

The room was small, but okay. Breakfast was okay too, though the food was basic and wasn’t warm. The bathroom needs a proper clean and the shower needs fixing. There was mould in the grout, plus stains on the walls and carpets. Still, it was a lot better than the Sandringham next door.
