Getting in and out was straightforward with codes for the front door and bedroom, and there’s a washer and dryer if you need to do laundry. The room felt like a clean, comfortable home away from home, with a kettle, microwave and air fryer for self-catering. Everything was well organised.

The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and the room also had an ironing board and hairdryer. We only used the en-suite room, not the laundry room, but the bathroom was cosy and had everything we needed: toiletries, hand wash, cleaning sprays, towels and even a drying rack. In the kitchen there was a fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle, cutlery and a little table. Sue had left breakfast items, tea, coffee, sugar and milk, so we only needed to bring some dinner. It made the stay much less stressful. The whole hotel was spotless, from the rooms to the rest of the place, and the cleaners had done a great job. Sue and the cleaners were very polite and cheerful, and made us feel comfortable. The Florian is close to the ocean and a Premier shop, and crossing the bridge takes you into the town centre. I’d heard people mention noise, but I barely heard any, including from other guests. There was a man with a bike who I think may be behind some noise complaints, but we rarely saw him and our sleep wasn’t disturbed. My partner and I have already decided to return for longer.

We had everything we needed in the room, from plates and cutlery to kitchen utensils, a microwave, fridge and freezer. It was perfectly clean, quiet and comfortable, and the staff were lovely. The hotel is well looked after and in a great spot, around a 10-minute walk from the town centre and sea. We stayed three nights and found it very good value. I’d absolutely recommend The Florian.

The owner was lovely and suggested ice cream places and things to do around Weymouth. Our room had a great view, plenty of storage and comfortable beds, plus a handy little kitchen for travelling with a young child. They’d left milk, coffee and cereal for breakfast, too. The location worked really well, with parking right outside and everything within a 10-15 minute walk. We had a fantastic holiday and would stay here again next time we’re in Weymouth.
