Sue and her husband know how to make things right and run the place really well. The welcome, room and breakfast were all great, and everything was very clean and homely. I had a lovely little chat with Sue, who was naturally very pleasant to talk with. I’d definitely recommend it.

My husband usually stays here when he comes down to fish, and the hosts arrange an early breakfast and a packed lunch in a cool bag. I joined him this time and was glad I did. Jan and Gary are fabulous hosts. The guest house is wonderful and clean, the rooms are spacious, and the beds are so comfortable we had excellent sleep. There’s tea and coffee in the room and a great bathroom. I highly recommend Marden Guest House, it deserves more than five stars.

We had a fabulous three-night stay. It’s a friendly, homely place, and everywhere was lovely and clean. The hosts were great and the breakfasts fabulous. Thank you, Gary and Jan.

The location was good, and the hosts were nice. Breakfast was good too. The room was dusty in places, and there was hair in the bed. The bed was against a chimney stack, which made it awkward to get in and out, and it dipped where people had lain. There wasn’t anywhere to sit with a cup of tea and put the cup beside you.

The hosts were good, and the room and bathroom were lovely. Everything was very clean, and breakfast was great. I’d definitely stay again.
