Our apartment was good on the whole, but the intercom didn’t work, which was awkward because we only had one set of keys. The apartment door’s lock and key were worn too. A handyman came and fixed the lock, though the intercom still wasn’t working.

There’s so much to explore in and around Whitby that we ended up returning for another week. Staying in an apartment at Whitehall Landing puts you within easy walking distance of Whitby Harbour, with nice pubs along the way.

We had lovely waterfront views from the apartment, and parking was available. You do have to pay a refundable damage waiver before your stay.
